Question 1

Who are the programs for?

Accepted Answer

Clients at any level: high school, undergraduate, graduate/postgraduate, and professional writers. Programs are designed for anyone who wants to improve their writing with direct, one-on-one support. Some programs, like Asynchronous Editing, are reserved for returning clients who are ready to work independently from written feedback.

Question 2

How do I get started?

Accepted Answer

We recommend a Writing Consultation to get a sense of our tutoring style. Bring whatever you are working on. You may also begin with any packaged program: choose your program, review the contract, and schedule your sessions. Our team will be in touch with welcome material.

Question 3

Do you work remotely?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Sessions are conducted over video call. In-person sessions may be available by special arrangement for clients in the Las Vegas area.

Question 4

What kinds of writing do you work on?

Accepted Answer

Everything: essays, research papers, college applications, thesis chapters, dissertations, personal statements, business writing, resumes/CVs, cover letters, creative writing, personal essays, fiction writing, songwriting, wedding vows, and more. If it is writing, we can work on it.

Question 5

Do you use AI tools?

Accepted Answer

No. Writing Workroom does not use AI to generate, rewrite, paraphrase, or suggest any content in or for client work. Every session is live and human. Every edit is written by hand. Read the Anti-AI Pledge for the full position.

Question 6

What is the cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Cancellations with more than 24 hours notice receive a full refund or a rescheduled session. Cancellations with 24 hours or less notice are not eligible for refunds, and rescheduling is a new billable session. No-shows forfeit the session fee. Writing Workroom may cancel or reschedule with more than 24 hours notice. If we cancel or reschedule within 24 hours, clients receive a separate free session as accommodation.

Question 7

What are your hours?

Accepted Answer

Wednesday through Friday, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM Pacific Time. Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM Pacific Time.

Question 8

Can parents or guardians attend sessions?

Accepted Answer

Yes, for clients under 18. For adult clients, sessions are confidential by default. Parents or guardians of minor clients are welcome to observe or participate as agreed upon before the session.

Question 9

How is the Asynchronous Editing program different from a regular session?

Accepted Answer

In async editing, you submit a draft and receive back detailed written feedback: line edits, structural comments, and a revision letter, all without a live call. It is available to returning clients who already know how to act on notes independently and want a more flexible format.

Question 10

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept credit and debit card payments through Authorize.net. Please contact us if you have questions about payment before booking.

Question 11

Are sessions recorded?

Accepted Answer

Sessions may be recorded with your consent. If a recording is made, a Google Drive link will be shared with you for personal review. Recordings are not shared with any third party. You may request deletion of your recording at any time.
