Who are the programs for?

Students at any level — high school, undergraduate, graduate — as well as professional writers, researchers, and anyone who wants to improve their writing. Some programs (like Asynchronous Editing) are reserved for returning students.

How do I get started?

New students start with a Writing Consultation. Book a session through the Scheduling page, bring whatever you're working on, and we'll go from there.

Do you work remotely?

Yes. All sessions are conducted over video call. In-person sessions may be available by special arrangement.

What kinds of writing do you work on?

Everything: essays, research papers, college applications, personal statements, thesis chapters, dissertations, creative writing, business writing, cover letters, and more. If it's writing, we can work on it.

Do you use AI tools?

Accepted Answer

No. Writing Workroom does not use AI to generate, rewrite, or suggest content. Read the Anti-AI Pledge for the full position.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations with more than 24 hours notice receive a full refund or rescheduled session. Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) are not refunded. No-shows forfeit the session.

Wednesday through Sunday, 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM Pacific Time.

Can parents or guardians attend sessions?

Yes, for students under 18. For adult students, sessions are confidential by default.

How is the Asynchronous Editing program different from a regular session?

In async editing, you submit a draft and receive back detailed written feedback — line edits, structural comments, and a revision letter — without a live call. It's available to returning students who already know how to act on notes independently.
