The Anti-AI Pledge

Writing Workroom does not use artificial intelligence tools to generate, rewrite, paraphrase, summarize, or suggest any content produced in or for student work.

This means: no ChatGPT. No Copilot. No Grammarly AI. No AI-assisted outline generation, no AI-generated feedback, no AI-suggested transitions or rewrites. None of it.

Every session is live and human. Every edit is written by hand. Every comment reflects a real reader's real engagement with your work.

This is not a political statement. It is a professional one. Writing is a cognitive act — it is how you discover what you think. Outsourcing that to a language model defeats the entire purpose. You do not learn to write by having a machine write for you. You learn by writing, receiving honest feedback, revising, and writing again.

If a student submits AI-generated work for tutoring, the session will be redirected to discussing the implications of that choice and what the student actually wants to accomplish.

The work in this room is human work. That is the commitment.
