A 50-hour program that introduces sociology, philosophy, anthropology, political science, and economics through writing. You engage with primary sources and write in diverse forms — tweet threads, 300-word responses, plays and scripts, 5–8 page research papers, mini-memoirs, and two-pronged assignments. Featured videos include Angela Davis, Ruth Schwartz Cowan, Vera Rubin, and the documentary "The 13th." Readings by Oyserman, Edward Said, Viviana Zelizer, Audrey Smedley, and Margaret Campbell. The goal: learn to think against the grain and put that thinking into precise, original prose. Note: credits are not transferable to any academic institution.
